Genetrix kites have been available on the European market for over a decade, but 2010 was the year that they broke into the US market with full service distribution and local demo days across California. The company’s greatest claim to fame came in 2008 when the “Catman” (Sebastien Cattelan) used a 9M Genetrix Hydra to make history by smashing the absolute world speed record of 50 knots — as reported by the New York Times.
